Reflections on Reflections

and Other Contemplations

by Debbie McManus

Bridging psychology, spirituality, and photography, this is a collection of meditations that encourages exploration into the forgotten parts of the self. Each page is a captivating photograph paired with an introspective prompt for rediscovering what we have long hidden away. And as we go further along this journey of mindfulness, we gain a broader appreciation of ourselves and the world.

Book reviews:

“This photographic essay contains a broad landscape of images of magical passing moments.  There is a certain mystery in all of this which Debbie accurately captures.  Unique glimpses and reflections of nature and civilization await those of a curious nature.  The unique marriage of visual and conceptual introspection offers a new rich way to experience photography.”
– Tom Askman, Professor Emeritus (Art), artist, and author

“I love this book!  I am surprised that it can be read over and over, inviting endless introspection and reflection. And what a rich gathering of photographs that stand alone even as they see to echo your words! You are a master! Thank you so much!”
– Barbara Miller, Professor Emerita (Art), artist

“Reflections on Reflections is a wonder to behold! Her deeply contemplative thoughts and questions seem to dance with the images collected here. I found myself reflecting on beliefs and ideas in a way I had not allowed myself to before.”
– Amanda Vahala, MSW
